Advanced Lawn Care Base Steps:

RMPKA has these lawn care base steps designed for SW Iowa Climate conditions. 
They are flexible enough to adapt around our volitile weather patterns.

#1 – March – April

Heavy rate of granular fertilizer plus pre-emergent for the control of crabgrass and foxtail. Broadleaf spot spray.

#2 – April – May

Granular fertilizer & broadleaf application.

#2 1/2 June

Spot spray pressure points and headhunt weeds

#3 - July – August

Grub control with high quality fertilizer & Nutgrass application if needed.

#4 – August – September

Balanced granular fertilizer. Broadleaf application and treatment of any Nutgrass!

#5 – October – November

Heavy rate of granular fertilizer to stimulate root growth and food storage for winter.  Also helps early spring green up.  Broadleaf weed control as needed.
